Nightlife Riesis
Riesi offers in contrast to most expectations, "here is nothing going on" a few bars and restaurants which we visit regularly. The Internet Cafe / rock bar, for example, plays nearly every Friday, a live band that attracts lots of young people from Riesi. This shop is cozy with dark wood furniture and two televisions that are either music videos are transmitted (of course on the music channel RTL 102.5) or football games. The prolonged rain in recent weeks, we found our room before moldy be strong. The company that was contracted to repair the roof in the summer, must have had sloppy and so it remains to Pepe, Clemens and me hang the roof with all manner of ways to mend. Whenever the weather permits, we paint coatings in all colors on the roof cement, roof missing pieces and melt rubber mats by giant Bunsen burner over the cracks. I'm in my little room and I remove the makeshift with alcohol, until the roof is leaking any more. The rooms below, however, offer a few advantages such as a TV with more than just the 3 programs that we received in the common room, beds are comfortable for some than our own (probably because they were exchanged auchmal after 10 years) and had seems a better heating system than in our rooms (3 hours heating a day, one of them away in the morning, 2 of 19 clock.

Otherwise, our work is varied and sometimes more, sometimes less interesting. At least I can say now from my toilet seat to exchange successfully set up aluminum racks in the chord, Glübirnen to change during sleep and to find the tool at our garage house blind:-D However, there is every now and then a big project that occupied us for several days and weeks, interspersed Rumschlepp of smaller activities and repair issues in school, kindergarten, kitchen and our Wohntrackt.
Birthday (s)!
About 3 Birthdays Holidays stayed away on the track, nachzufeiern was it: my, Franzis and Gianluca! After Laura was busy all day making for each of us a delicious cake (after I told her I wanted Black Forest cake, it has really given her best to imitate), we were cooking the evening Spaghetti Carbonara without cream sauce and without fat-speak simply Spaghetti with egg ;-) Up by 9 clock were found one after the director or other members and friends of the Servizios. As previously announced, we started but at some point from the dust, to hear the band at the Rock Cafe.
The opportunity came and Gianluca speak again on the Italian test, the we have to be completed end of January. This is one of three tests should consult our knowledge of the Italian language, so Gianluca can confirm it also in our "Graduate Certificate". We'll see :-) had posed
Weather
At this moment I am with flip-flops and T-shirt. After all that rain can last 2 days looking back, the sun, which is beneficial onto Italian mind and also to ours. In sunny 16 degrees, you can stand it, especially when I think of that I just over 2 weeks in Germany I had to put up with sub-zero temperatures :-)
Acireale/Catania- the green side of Sicily
the two weekends after our trip to Germany we spent 5 (John Clemens, Anna, Adrian and I) in Acireale, because my father was there on vacation for 3 weeks. With the Jeep away 2 hours of the eastern Italy is in stark contrast to Riesi-the rich vegetation, close to the sea, the snow-covered (currently) Etna and vibrant economy have a positive effect on public life. We were at one of these weekends, the second time in Catania and wiedermal were surprised at how many people hanging around (even in bad weather) on the streets of the second-largest city in Sicily until the wee hours. Unlike Riesi where a flash is a clock every night, gone, here you can stroll through the Piazza or meet in one of the many bars. I was held in the parking situation and high chance of stealing up to now, the car somewhere to stop in the city. But after we were with my father in Catania (he knows well as his pocket) I was surprised as he and many others to solve the problem:
There are several parking areas in Catania, which are more or less guarded (in) official park rangers . has to offer the Italian cooking much more than the eating plan of the kitchen would have us, we were told at dinner parties of my relatives. Blunted by lentil soup, noodle soup, pasta Rosso marveled made with 2 Euro/30 piece of fish sticks, and 1 euro pizza slices with lots of love we are not bad, as we fer drove served up one day after Pachino to there home-made fish dishes of all kinds of variations were given. To thirteenth in the small holiday home of my cousin, we have the whole afternoon eating fish as fresh as before and probably still no possibly no one will get it. Just a pity that the weather has not cooperated, at the southernmost Point of Sicily, still below Tunisia, we still spent a great day in the midst of a typical Sicily's round with good food and wine :-)
We spend a wonderful and unforgettable time and are glad that we came here for a year Riesi . spend It is at this point, of course, also depends on the people with whom one lives in an apartment-on the condition that each be prepared to play a part so that it works.
