Eccomi! - Here I am!

Saturday lunch-no one is awake, time to put on my blog ;-)

Nightlife Riesis

Riesi offers in contrast to most expectations, "here is nothing going on" a few bars and restaurants which we visit regularly. The Internet Cafe / rock bar, for example, plays nearly every Friday, a live band that attracts lots of young people from Riesi. This shop is cozy with dark wood furniture and two televisions that are either music videos are transmitted (of course on the music channel RTL 102.5) or football games. The name of internet cafe is somewhat misleading, since it is actually a bar is where there are WiFi-it is found However, at any time only a laptop behind the bar, to play music from Youtube. We have already made friends with two bartenders, and thus we have to keep are then brought back from you yet :-) It is these small bars in Riesi only to 1 are a great way with the locals to engage in conversation!

mold ...

The prolonged rain in recent weeks, we found our room before moldy be strong. The company that was contracted to repair the roof in the summer, must have had sloppy and so it remains to Pepe, Clemens and me hang the roof with all manner of ways to mend. Whenever the weather permits, we paint coatings in all colors on the roof cement, roof missing pieces and melt rubber mats by giant Bunsen burner over the cracks. For almost two weeks stay at Frank, Anna, Adrian Clemens and into the lower rooms because their rooms are affected by water and mold. I'm in my little room and I remove the makeshift with alcohol, until the roof is leaking any more. The rooms below, however, offer a few advantages such as a TV with more than just the 3 programs that we received in the common room, beds are comfortable for some than our own (probably because they were exchanged auchmal after 10 years) and had seems a better heating system than in our rooms (3 hours heating a day, one of them away in the morning, 2 of 19 clock.

work, work ...

Otherwise, our work is varied and sometimes more, sometimes less interesting. At least I can say now from my toilet seat to exchange successfully set up aluminum racks in the chord, Glübirnen to change during sleep and to find the tool at our garage house blind:-D However, there is every now and then a big project that occupied us for several days and weeks, interspersed Rumschlepp of smaller activities and repair issues in school, kindergarten, kitchen and our Wohntrackt.

Birthday (s)!

About 3 Birthdays Holidays stayed away on the track, nachzufeiern was it: my, Franzis and Gianluca! After Laura was busy all day making for each of us a delicious cake (after I told her I wanted Black Forest cake, it has really given her best to imitate), we were cooking the evening Spaghetti Carbonara without cream sauce and without fat-speak simply Spaghetti with egg ;-) Up by 9 clock were found one after the director or other members and friends of the Servizios. As previously announced, we started but at some point from the dust, to hear the band at the Rock Cafe.
The opportunity came and Gianluca speak again on the Italian test, the we have to be completed end of January. This is one of three tests should consult our knowledge of the Italian language, so Gianluca can confirm it also in our "Graduate Certificate". We'll see :-) had posed

Weather

At this moment I am with flip-flops and T-shirt. After all that rain can last 2 days looking back, the sun, which is beneficial onto Italian mind and also to ours. In sunny 16 degrees, you can stand it, especially when I think of that I just over 2 weeks in Germany I had to put up with sub-zero temperatures :-)

Acireale/Catania- the green side of Sicily

the two weekends after our trip to Germany we spent 5 (John Clemens, Anna, Adrian and I) in Acireale, because my father was there on vacation for 3 weeks. With the Jeep away 2 hours of the eastern Italy is in stark contrast to Riesi-the rich vegetation, close to the sea, the snow-covered (currently) Etna and vibrant economy have a positive effect on public life. We were at one of these weekends, the second time in Catania and wiedermal were surprised at how many people hanging around (even in bad weather) on the streets of the second-largest city in Sicily until the wee hours. Unlike Riesi where a flash is a clock every night, gone, here you can stroll through the Piazza or meet in one of the many bars. I was held in the parking situation and high chance of stealing up to now, the car somewhere to stop in the city. But after we were with my father in Catania (he knows well as his pocket) I was surprised as he and many others to solve the problem:
There are several parking areas in Catania, which are more or less guarded (in) official park rangers . For a small fee to fit here on the vehicle of the customer, it is criss-utilized every inch of parking space, which leads to the problem that is quite likely someone "einparkt" or is parked. In this case, the parking attendant asks whether you can not leave some his key so he just drives away the car, if someone out sooner. We did, of course, all big eyes and wanted to laugh even as my father actually dalies the key and we subjected them to a beer near the Teatro Bellini drink. On my question whether he spins as he showed me when I walk past the other cars there were parked and daliessen probably their key: Porsche Cayenne, SUV Strassenkreuzer Mercedes (M-class), BMW (X5) and what I know not all used the valet parking. "If they want to steal a car then they take one of those and not even do that. The only want to earn money." To experience easier, we put ourselves in a cozy Bar :-)

has to offer the Italian cooking much more than the eating plan of the kitchen would have us, we were told at dinner parties of my relatives. Blunted by lentil soup, noodle soup, pasta Rosso marveled made with 2 Euro/30 piece of fish sticks, and 1 euro pizza slices with lots of love we are not bad, as we fer drove served up one day after Pachino to there home-made fish dishes of all kinds of variations were given. To thirteenth in the small holiday home of my cousin, we have the whole afternoon eating fish as fresh as before and probably still no possibly no one will get it. Just a pity that the weather has not cooperated, at the southernmost Point of Sicily, still below Tunisia, we still spent a great day in the midst of a typical Sicily's round with good food and wine :-)

We spend a wonderful and unforgettable time and are glad that we came here for a year Riesi . spend It is at this point, of course, also depends on the people with whom one lives in an apartment-on the condition that each be prepared to play a part so that it works. Maybe there's already met with someone on my blog, who plays with the idea, instead of the civil service (or even the armed forces) to make Germany a peace service abroad. After half a year I can now say, do it! It's worth :-)

What was in the last few months ...? (Part 3 / 3)

stories of light and water

I can still remember what I wrote in my last blog entries from the old year (from October). If I may quote myself: "It's nice that the water for showering does not need to get from a well. [...] Until now we had only four days without water and even a brief power outages. "As irony of fate, we had after I wrote it, first for a while no more water.
At first we could use the shower or the water from the water canisters. When this was less and less, however, we switched to rain water from the well / hole in the garden. I was initially somewhat affected this water use. It seemed to me to make more dirty than clean. It was so sad that in the water buckets (< 10 Liter) nie den Grund sehen konnte.
Fetching water itself was initially an art in itself. You had namely a small bucket (on a string) in the "Fountain" to throw to again fill a large bucket. It is of course never come up that he has the same filled with water. Thus, you had to throw it back and forth several times, or throw. At the beginning I used safely for 5-10 minutes to fill a (large) bucket to shower and then go - really just a matter of endurance.
After one to two weeks, I had no problem with the whole. It was just annoying,
morning one had to urgently go to the bathroom, but before that was allowed to draw first of all have a bucket of water. As I had contracted from eating salmonella poisoning and diarrhea because often sat on the toilet, which was especially great!
so pulled the unnecessarily for four weeks that we had no water. We already scratch slowly at the bottom of the well and the water was always dirty. My host father had brought experience in that pipe work had on the whole debt. Apparently used pipes, dating back to colonial times, and finally replaced. Law was strange but then, not as the surrounding houses in our area with water again, only we had! My host father decided by the Board of Swesco-area to investigate the matter itself. Ultimately, it came out that we had forgotten after the end of a water supply pipe work to unlock. Therefore, we had 10 days of the four weeks for nothing have to do without water ...
in my quote from the beginning, I had also spoken of Stromauffällen. Which have recently also frequent. Once even almost a week (at the affected approximately 150,000 people were). As you have noticed how dark it eigenlich in the night. However, we have equipped with candles. My host sister, who often gets up at night to learn, had built on the ground a circle around candles. As they sat on the floor and let their books. It looked as if they perform an occult ritual. The only difference was probably the appearance that you are normal in a ritual presents more of a white, old priest with long dark robe. Abena, my host sister, but a black girl and likes to wear white, short shirts. It looked funny in anyway.
However, it was quite interesting a few days to get along without electricity - and above all quiet like that! There was no loud chatter of the radio announcer and television showed no Nigerian Soups, which is so often argued loudly! So it was at least the first few days, because then my host father had bought a generator, the at least a few hours of electricity generated at night. He was not as expected, before the house, but in the hallway to the shower and toilet located. to take well to less regard for the neighbors, rather him to steal can not be. The first time I thought, my host father had put the generator in the shower room (not hallway) so I went on my way to the toilet. When I opened the hallway but came to meet me smoke and I closed the door immediately. This meant that every time you wanted to go to the bathroom, you had to unlock the three locks at the entrance trying not to hit the leg at the garden (because of my size, with me instead of the leg rather ...Hüft-/Lendenbereich) and a few meters had to step out into the darkness ...
Nevertheless, I must honestly say that I think power outages from time to time very pleasant. If I'm just at work, of course, rather less. Because that was also often the case. Reminder: I am an ICT (computer) teacher here! If during one of my classes suddenly the screen went black, a loud groan from the class action was heard. Some did not hesitate, just get up to leave the room. I had to quote back once again and I have always tried to complete the topics in theoretical way, at least halfway. Since you can not really predict how long a power outage here, I am often several hours sitting alone in the computer room or have talked with a few teachers. A power cut is here labeled the "light-off" (~ light off). Some Light-off lasted only half an hour, but half the day. Blame it on the voltage leaks large hydropower stations in the Volta Region (So I've at least understood). As long as the power failure was that I had written on the top, the ground was quite different! How
had gotten around after a few days ago, was stolen in one night on the way from Accra to Winneba Junction, part of the long distance power cables from the poles. Now you wonder why and how in heaven's sake can someone steal a long stretch cord - At least that was my reaction to it. The answer is not much consideration. There were no rebels, who by this action, would bring something politically. The thieves did not allow the goal to be a raid by a power failure. That would be for me the most obvious answer been. No, they were really bent on the cable itself. The cable consists mainly of copper, whose market value is currently quite high! It really seems to be nothing to speak in what people hold. On how they managed to climb the masts and druchtrennen a power cord that is under high tension, I can only make the assumption that these masts probably not as high as here in Germany and the installation was probably not very solid. If the gross infrastructure of the power system considered here in Swedru, which is very likely.
any case, there is almost an almost week to repair the cable, and apparently it was not possible the power grid redirect. The thieves could be taken a little later. What awaits them in prison here, we did not prefer to talk about it.
Currently there are plans for a major dam project in central Ghana. If the project is implemented, the problems with water and electricity supply will be less, in Ghana, compared to other West African countries, already low.
So, enough writing, I will go myself now in the illuminated shower room and a bath - with the awareness that it is not selbstveständlich!

I Have A Mole In My Vigana

What was in the last few months ...? (Part 2 / 3)

... Of course, I could now talk about some short trips, such as the the "Oda Big Tree" (the highest West African tree), the "Akaa Waterfalls" (where you have already seen photos), a canoe trip or trips to various beaches. I could about every little trip a blog entry written in the usual length, there would be 10 other entries. But I try in my blog to focus on the essentials here in Ghana - the people, the life, culture!
And I also want to remain relatively objective. In the trips personal experiences play a large role. To illustrate an example: Suppose
but the trip to the "Oda Big Tree". Another volunteer, it may not put this way: "[...] After we had eye is with the people at the entrance of the road are a price we ran a piece in the woods until we came over a small bridge . As he was then already - The Big Tree! He was really huge and we felt very small beside [...]". I would have as many more details to be related to pure, which in turn would give the reader a very different picture.
My version would sound more like: "[...] We were not prepared to have to penetrate so far into the forest, we were wearing only sandals almost all. That turned out to be a problem, but soon, because we often had to make big steps on ant trails of giant ants. The dense shrubs and trees on both sides of the krüppligen beaten track highly proliferated and were sometimes only single light beam through it. Despite broad daylight, nobody seemed to be on the road at dusk. That made it often difficult to discover the ants right away and so it did not take long before it was a couple of giant ants, are festzubeisen in my foot. At first I thought, to be entered into it in stinging nettles, but the burning felt different, more pungent. I let my eyes wander down, and noticed with alarm that the ants were still on my feet. Quick herunterzuschütteln I tried it, which did not succeed. Impatiently, I took my hand to help, but even a cursory wipe avail. In ants Widerd I pulled with the fingers from the skin, which had bitten deep into it with their big Beiszangen. I quickly tried to reconnect me to the group that was already out of sight. To whet the corner, I have found again. They were in the process of balancing on a small bridge . The bridge, which actually consisted of only a few wide wooden slats, seemed to shine, because it was the bushes somewhat lighter and the sun came out better hindruch. The more I approached the bridge, the more clearly I could see the number of ants on it - it was again the giant ants. Frustrated, I was once in front of it, wondering how I should cross the bridge at the best [...]"
Phew, so much I wanted to write not really! But I think you realize that you get my description to a very different picture of the trip. He sounds even more exciting than it really was. I have not exaggerated but added little or sealed (what Incidentally, for everything in my blog is). We were even just 36 minutes on the road. How do I know? (The difference between the recording times of the first and last photos). If I had described the trip from the front to back, it would sound like a really exciting day trip, but it was actually quite short and rather unspetakulär!
I want to convey a false image, and to future volunteers / travel enthusiasts who want to come to Ghana, not too much to anticipate, there is not typical of my trip reports. I even had her stories of a very different picture from certain destinations and was then disappointed so many times! have only told about the times (even If anyone has wondered whether I am actually not traveling) ...

The Highest Triglyceride Level

What was in the last few months ...? (Part 1 / 3) New Year's Eve

addition to the events, "Elections", "Christmas" and "New Year", which is also the title of my last blog entries, there were not many exciting things to experience. So I have heard also a long time nothing new to me. Since I live here, it may seem exciting not only for me. From "German view" it but this may possibly be? But you have to figure out, however, even ...

Yes, where do I start ...? Generally, I was in the last few months go. In comparison, almost never at the start time. In the first two months I was traveling almost every weekend and have experienced new things, so I managed only two Sundays in the church. I must admit, apart from these two times I'm not gone yet again. One church attendance was a very positive example. Since the photos were taken, I have put online. It was a special church service because the church choir presented on the day the first time his album that he recorded. For this reason, the church service would be particularly make effective, in order to then sell or eat the same as the CDs and cassettes can. The second church attendance was rather poor for it. The choir was under-staffed and lack the Predikt (as always Fanti and so for me not understandable) was boring, even for the Ghanaians - if I did not yawn frequent church attendance has been misconstrued. In addition to that in the next room, another religious service was held. The preacher of the other worship seemed to take his job very seriously, because he was sometimes louder than our own. It sounded even more like a Hetzpredikt in the form of a rhythmic prayer. What is most amazing, I was and endurance, as with the disguised voice, almost constantly on predikte. While we read a passage from the Bible, the church choir matched two songs and they made the tour to the donation box, the other preacher could be heard continuously. God seems to him special power given to have!
So I have a good and a bad example to realize the Ghanaian church. It makes me not feel guilty to have been only two times there. I'm not the only one among my colleagues. Most have been not much more there. Especially going through the Ghanaians not regularly. The "intercultural exchange" should take place here (as the words of the organization), is minimal, especially raises for me the question what it for bringing to attend a church service is held in a different language. The host families would of course be happy if the white man came with you, but it seems more likely that you will only be used again as a showpiece. I could ausschreifen at this point something, but what would now not my style of writing would do justice with which I started here already, still fit the title of this blog entry. There is generally a few things about which one can not just write here! Who in Goolge search terms "Ghana" and "voluntary service" invites enters on the second page, so to my blog. As I have heard there are already some people in this way Here are booted
- including a few parents volunteer colleagues. In this sense: A salute to the parents of Nicole and Anna!

Now back to the original topic. The decisive reasons why I have traveled in recent months, not much, is the one that is generally subsided among the volunteers, the initial euphoria somewhat. Added to this was to me that I "stole" my photo camera. I would have found it a pity, unique capture moments on the road to not. I have therefore postponed planned trips to the back. The time around the presidential elections played a role. Because of the precautions had to take to us the voluntary organization once again ordered more to Accra and so was another weekend where we really wanted to stay collected, had not been used for it. Soon came Christmas, which they wanted to do in the family and soon we are already in our earned vacation at the beach (which I wrote in the journal "New Year") gone ...

Bloody Mucis Discharge And Not Pregnet

New Year's Eve are 12 volunteer colleagues and I went to a beach resort in the Green Turtle Lodge. It is about 4-5 hours bus ride. We have 27 December to 4 January rented there. It is relatively isolated, making it an idyllic, peaceful place. Within only a few small villages, where life is still very traditional. hineinzufeiern

To the new year, some people arrived and every sleeping space was booked. We had rented several tents and a lodge. The cabin was fairly large. There were two beds, where you could sleep for two and two mattresses on the floor. Hung above the beds (a bit holey), mosquito nets, so you had to unpack not his own. Now and then had one visit from geckos, which could also scare with difficulty.

lack of leisure facilities do not exist. In the Ministry itself, there was a spot of table tennis, volleyball and other games to play. You could also take a canoe trip in the bays, a night hike at the beach to watch turtles laying eggs and a trip to the Cape Three Point, the southernmost point of Ghana. Then came New Year's Eve, volunteers from all over Ghana, it was nice to just that to entertain. There was some U.S. Americans, Canadians, Norwegians, Swedes and even one from Chile.

The food was good and relatively cheap. For breakfast you could order the omelette with bread, cereal or a fruit plate. At noon, there were various sandwiches and even falafel. In the evening we got mostly fish or chicken and rice or French fries according to taste. Now and then there was something more exotic with mixed vegetables. The bedside table was really good. You could order to fry banana / pineapple or Schokofondu (with fruit). The price never rose above the 4-euro barrier. It was nice for me to once again get "real food". The Ghanaian food is long but is very one-sided ...

for the day on New Years Eve then the owner of the beach resorts have come. It is an English couple (both age at about 40 years). They were very receptive and even at the very beginning it was clear that it would not be boring. They have brought good jazz music and mingling with the people.
was at lunch hosted a Tischtennistunier in which the winner got a free cocktail. Against later one could be involved in a volleyball tournament. Our team "Flying DEUTSCHmen" could be positioned at # 3 of 7. After a shower, there was too soon the evening buffet. There was of potatoes, salads, fish and for dessert you could order one fried banana with chocolate. When you arrive at dessert, already started playing the drum group, to which there was a traditional dance show. Shortly after that we are going to the beach to make a night hike. It was said that evening turtles often come to the beach to bury their eggs. Unfortunately we have not seen it, let alone any footsteps.
As we made our way back, started a veritable lightning storm. The storm was far away, so you could hear no thunder - perhaps even the sound of the sea, according to ... It was certainly so that the sky is really any Second from the beach and flooded again illuminated with light. Thus, we did not need any more flashlights to find our way back. From the, albeit distant thunderstorm, blew a fairly strong, cool wind. We were glad when we were back in the beach resort. By midnight, the mood grew, they danced at the bar and talked. After the countdown to the year that would have been missed by the way, almost on the beach was a great fire kindled, and there were high even left four small rockets. Sitting by the fire were talking with different people and against four clock when I went to bed, only a few people were awake.
The next morning / afternoon after being rested, it was thought first time swimming
- the first time in 2009!

Christmas

the cities could be seen externally to not think it was Christmas time. In Melcom, the only supermarket in Swedru, there was some over-priced Christmas decorations and Christmas chocolates to buy. Generally, you can see (plastic) Christmas trees and decorations in only rich families. Otherwise, it is Christmas on the 24th to go to church and making party on the 25th (Christmas is celebrated in Ghana on December 25). From Christ child born here in Germany in the evening, they have never heard of. Neither the Santa Claus, nor anything atmospheric, which is German for us for Christmas was to be found.
I wished my family on the morning of the 25th Merry Christmas. Although they have replied, but I had not addressed, would have nothing from them. My host father is gone from the house in the morning, I have not received it until the evening to face. It also did not where did it go, let alone when he comes back
- as it actually happens quite often. Therefore I have decided the family to give even in the absence of the father, her gift. Especially for my host brothers and sisters it was a DVD with several movies on it. It was a collection of Hollywood movies. I wanted to offer some variety to the local (in my opinion just bad) films. As a gift for the whole family, I bought a kettle. As it often is tea in the morning, I found the appropriate (as an energy saving measure). They have certainly very happy about it. From them there was not a gift, but what I have expected that.
By evening was Christmas a day like any other. At 5 pm clock we wanted to go to Winneba, where the older sister of my host mother is living. When we finally drove off around 7:30, I thought that we to be late for dinner. But that was not so, for only about an hour after our arrival we got something. The party was initially touted it to sit on plastic chairs in front of the house and wait for the food. As far as authorizing the loud music, you could talk with others. Note to the music: There were of course played the same five hits, one in Ghana always get heard. I was the only white was regarded as a special guest and got out of Coke or a glass of gin, mind on an empty stomach. When it was finally dinner (pasta salad and chicken), it was also the highlight of the evening. It has in fact organized a dance competition. Only one for children, then one for the adults. I had to take care of me at first only once so that my name was removed from the list of participants of the adults again. They had never asked me to write as a participant. It is often the case that you are treated as white as a showpiece. To my astonishment, the children (average 10 years old) in a different class than the adults. Not that the adults had no discretion - I do not think there is a Ghana without tact - but the children have offered a really good show. Unfortunately the lighting was too poor to take photos or video. After this event, it also went to the end and at half past 12 we broke again in the direction Swedru. At home you have something turned on the TV and my host mother (slightly drunk) would have almost stayed in my room on the ground. The emphasis here is rather "in my room," as "on the ground". Sleeping on the bare ground is not uncommon. After my host father had shooed her into bed, we are all gone to bed - my host brothers and sisters in the living room watching TV .. I and my mosquito netting - as on any normal day to ... Merry Christmas!

Elections

the presidential elections which took place on December 7, has been feverishly opposed throughout Ghana. Even before the election it was clear that there is a head-to-head race would be two major parties - namely, the incumbent party, the NPP (New Patriotic Party) and the opposition, the NDC (National Democratic Congress). The NDC was once ever in power, but that was some years ago.
for both parties was run a large advertising hype. The streets were hung huge election posters that seemed beside the shabby stalls rather pretentious and out of place. At least once a day, a van drove through the city, its loading area was full of NPP supporters. Equipped with trumpets and drums, they were shouting through the streets and have been heard from afar. From time to time we also saw equipped with large megaphones, jeeps, which should convince the people with election slogans. In the larger cities, there were still huge added mass events, which were of course supported with a lot of loud music. Of these great events, I am absent for security reasons. On television, there was much about it but to see the commercials as the various parties. In addition to regular commercials, there was also a music video, which was a bit strange. In Germany, you are in life never rapping leader (Angela Merkel) to present. The lack of talent would be one thing, but generally it would make them seem completely untrustworthy. Well, but here is Ghana ...

to the election itself: the public authorities were very tense and ready for anything. Some teams of international observers were on site. If this election without excesses come to an end, for all of West Africa, Ghana would be a great role model. Of the embassies and the Foreign Office were still extremely currencies. Our volunteer organization, has advised us on the day of the election not to leave the house to provide ourselves with the necessary food and not even once with the Neighbors to speak. When the day finally came, the city was deserted. I left, despite the (probably exaggerated warnings) the house and went with another volunteer colleague to a nearby polling station to observe the action. Of course we are not blind started walking, but since you already knew at the time that there were no major incidents, we went out and even have to take some pictures. The polling station was guarded by a (well-built) female police officer and four or five staff members were responsible for the correct procedures. Unfortunately, most people were already very early in the morning was when dialing, so we could actually took place not observed, namely there was no more. The cop was so nice and told us and how the individual steps of the electoral process went from Amsterdam. Actually, the system is no different than in Germany, but to prevent that someone is cheating, and possibly twice, and selected, you have his little finger in a black liquid (most likely ink) plug, which turns the nail for at least a week dark . Officials such as firefighters or police officers had two days earlier chosen because they had the actual election day on call.
were on the third day after the election finally announce the final figures. The result was, as predicted, very close - unfortunately so scarce that there was no clear majority for either party. This meant in turn that on 28 December had to be elected again. Many people were very disappointed, but it remained quiet. Also very disappointed that there was no result, my host mother. Even in the time before the election, people bought a less material in their business because they feared for their money, which would be after a change of government, possibly less value. As had extended the period of "uncertainty" with the 2nd choice now, they could not normally benefit from the upcoming holiday season. During the period up to 28 December, one of the elections barely spoken. In radio and television while still running the commercials, but we did speak with excitement to the air.
On December 28 we were not Swedru (home town) as we drove through New Year's Eve at a beach resort (see blog entry "New Year"). There you have only occasionally heard anything from people who came from outside. One concern, however, had a radio, so we asked again and again to the intermediate level. Even in this election, it seemed again very pleased to be very close. Against later it was learned that in northern Ghana in a village, the polling stations were attacked and sabotaged the ballot boxes and stolen. For this reason, then be re-elected, but to Fortunately, only in the said village. The new date was 2 January. As is already in front of it turned out, the NDC was minimal front, and even if everyone had voted in the village for the NPP, the projection would not have been obtained. NDC won the runoff election with 50.23% final. Both parties have subsequently accused each other of voter intimidation. "According to the Electoral Commission but there was not enough evidence of manipulation in order to declare the election invalid. Another told me that there was a coup attempt on the part of NPPs, by disseminating bogus numbers. For details, but I could not learn. Now, at least the whole election fever back around and we are excited about what the NDC will honor their promise ...
